How do I know if your services are right for my child?
We recommend starting with our Discover Your ABA Journey service, where our team will assess your child’s needs and discuss suitable services. This consultation helps tailor our recommendations to best support your child’s development and specific goals. During periods when Discover Your ABA Journey is sold out or unavailable, we recommend visiting our free drop-in registration sessions or SmartStart Hub for guidance and support.
What are the qualifications of your staff?
Our staff includes highly trained professionals, including BCBAs, Registered Behaviour Analysts (RBAs), speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and psychologists. Each staff member undergoes rigorous training and regular professional development.
Is this program supervised by a BCBA?
Yes, all our ABA programs are supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). BCBAs oversee the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans to ensure evidence-based practices are being followed. Beginning July 2024, our BCBAs have become members of the newly renamed College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
Can sessions be customized?
Absolutely. Whether you choose our group or individual services, our programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. During the first few sessions, we work closely with families to develop personalized treatment goals.
Are your services accessible for children with varying needs?
Yes, we offer a range of services to accommodate different needs, including specialized programs for children with varying support needs. Our facilities and programs are designed to be inclusive and accessible.
What safety measures are in place during sessions?
We adhere to strict safety protocols, including emergency procedures, regular safety drills, and thorough staff training in first aid and crisis intervention. Our facilities are equipped with safety features to ensure a secure environment for all clients.
Can parents or caregivers observe sessions?
Yes, parents or caregivers can observe sessions, please speak with clinical staff so we can arrange to ensure the confidentiality of all participants in sessions.
Do parents or caregivers receive a final report at the completion of the service?
Yes, parents or caregivers receive a final progress report at the completion of the service with suggestions for future programming.

Is this eligible for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP)?
Yes, our services are eligible for funding through the Ontario Autism Program. We provide support for families navigating the OAP and can assist with understanding the eligibility criteria and application process.
What payment options are available?

Do you offer financial assistance?

What is the cancellation policy for services?
Due to the structure of group programming, there are no refunds, credits or make-up available for missed group sessions.
Our cancellation policy requires at least 24 hours’ notice for any individual, 1-to-1 services.

How do I receive and submit a receipt to AccessOAP?
Once the service has ended, we will issue a Statement of Accounts (SOA), which can be used to reconcile your Access OAP funding. AccessOAP oversees the distribution of budgets and the reconciliation of invoices. If you have questions about submitting an expense, please contact AccessOAP at info@accessOAP.ca or 1-833-425-2445.
