Dear clients, caregivers, and community members,
After a lot of careful consideration, we have decided it is safe to resume our in-person services on Monday, May 17. We will be reopening 2 Surrey Place and our East Office for our TRE-ADD, Kindercampus, and Priority 1: Urgent Health and Safety Focus clients.
Clients in this priority group must meet the following criteria:
- There is an immediate health and safety concern such as physical pain/significant discomfort
- The client is at risk for hospital emergency visits or hospitalization if service is not provided
- There is a need that may be addressed and would positively impact the quality of life
Our clinicians will be contacting their clients to schedule in-person appointments.
To keep everyone safe at our sites, we will be implementing a strict safety protocol that includes screening all visitors, using appropriate personal protection equipment, signage to encourage physical distancing, and increased sanitization.
With the rising number of COVID-19 cases, we also encourage all eligible individuals to get their COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible. Through our Resource Library, we have a wide variety of tools and guides to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, families, and healthcare professionals feel more prepared to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. If you’re a Surrey Place client and want to learn more about future vaccine opportunities, email covid@surreyplace.ca or call 416-925-5141 ext. 4444.
In addition to offering limited in-person appointments, we will continue to work remotely and provide our high-quality Telehealth services. If you want to learn more about our programs and services, please call 1-833-575-KIDS (5437) for children and youth programs and 1-855-372-3858 to learn more about our adult programs.
We hope to see you soon, whether that’s in person, or online!
Stay safe, and be well,
Dr. Terri Hewitt, C. Psych.
